I was sent a detailed Warmath genealogy in 1998 by Connie Lane, descendent of the Chesterfield Warmath line. She sent it with the note, "The Rosamon info came from Barbara Morgan and the Warmath info from John Warmath (except my branch)." The information that follows comes from her tree, though I will try to back it up by looking up and adding any official records I can find. Anything in italics in the boxed section was not part of Connie Lane's original information but is supported by information below the box.

*Gibson County Illustrated 1901 (see below) lists Mrs. J.W. Warmath among the people who died within the last five years. However tombstones in Brown's Cemetery, Madison TN include Jennie Warmath "wife of JW Warmath" 10-24-1860 to 6-27-1906...wonder if the 1906 is a mistaken reading of 1900 or 1896.

From here I add a paper trail not included in Connie Lane's tree:

White Rose Cemetery in Gibson County TN has the following adjacent stones: James William Warmath, son of J.W. and Maude Warmath born and died 1914; Mary Jane Warmath, daughter of J.W. and Maude Warmath 1916-1923; Maude E. Warmath 1877-1936; James W. Warmath 1861-1939.

Gibson County Illustrated 1901 lists J.W. Warmath in the directory of the Bank of Humboldt and as a deacon of the Humboldt Methodist Church. The same publication also mentions John Warmath and Tom Warmath as leading fruit growers (presumably his brothers). It also lists Mrs. J.W. Warmath among the members of the Humboldt Methodist Church who died within the last five years (note that within the same publication, the name is spelled both WarmAth and WarmOth). It also names among the town businesses liverymen "Clark & Warmoth."

1920 census, Madison County TN, Civil District 3: James M/W Warmath (looks like a cursive M, but in cursive the two initials can look similar, and the rest of what follows makes it match Jim W, except for daughter Ella, who was not referred to before), age 59, born in TN of parents born in TN, farmer. Wife Maud C., age illegible (second digit is 2), born in TN of parents born in TN. Daughter Mary J, age 3 years 11 months. Daughter Ella F, age 1 year 4 months. (Note: I presume the preceeding is the right Jim Warmath because the household next door is Jim's brother, Charlie D. Warmath, age 43, born in TN of parents born in TN, farmer. Wife Georgie, age 39, born in TN of parents born in TN. Son Marion F, age 18. Son Millard, age 14. Con Chester M, age 12. Son Charles R, age 10.)

Humboldt Courier Chronicle 10-12-1923 Gibson: Mary Jane, the little daughter of Mr.& Mrs. James Warmath, of Madison County, died last Saturday after a brief illness. The funeral services were held at the residence, burial in White Rose Cem. Mrs. Warmath will be remembered as Maud Williams, formerly of Gibson.
