4-3-1947 Crockett Times, Thursday: Funeral services were held Friday, March 28, 1947, for Mrs. H.W. Reeves, resident of Gadsden, who passed away a her home Thursday morning following a brief illness. She was 74...burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Humboldt with Hunt Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Reeves was born and reared in the Gadsden community. She was the daughter of the late James Madison Warren and Rutha Lucinda Warren, a pioneer family of West Tennessee. She was a member of the Gadsden Baptist church. The deceased is survived by her husband, Hiram W. Reeves, of Gadsden; three daughters, Miss Carrie Lou Reeves of Nashville; Miss Minnie Bee Reeves of Gadsden; and Miss Kate Reeves of Union City; four sons, D.H. Reeves of Jackson; R.M. Reeves of Brownsville; J.H. Reeves of Jonesboro, Ark., and C.E. Reeves of Gadsden; three sisters, Mrs. Eugenia Craddock of Lakeworth, FL; Mrs. Julia Mason of Jackson; Mrs. W.E. Williams of Jackson; and three brothers, J.T. Warrn of Jackson; R.E. Warrne of Humboldt, and W.E. Warren of Gadsden. Six grandchildren also survive.
