Wininfred Duncan wed 12-14-1849 to Turner Joyner according to Harris family tree.
Note that in the following census records, though the numbers are accurately transcribed, some census takers did not write down their ages well or the Joiners did not report/record their ages well. Either that or Turner Joiner managed to get seven years younger between 1860 and 1870.
1850 census, Johnston NC, District 7
Turner Joiner, age 26, farmer, estate value 700, born NC (marked in state column "married")
Winnifred Joiner, age 32, born NC (marked in state column "Married"), checked as person over 20 who cannot read or write
next household is that of Zilpah Joiner, age 66, with children (also cannot read or write) Possibly Turner's mother?
1860 census, Johnston NC, Neuse River, post office: Beulah
Turner Joyner, age 56 (presume actually 36), farmer with real estate valued at 2250 and personal estate 7917 born NC
Winny, age 47 (presume actually 42), born NC
Sarah, age 7, born NC
Sarah Duncan, age 48, born NC (presumably Winnie's sister Sally, which suggests she never married)
1860 slave schedule, Johnston Co NC, east of Neuse River
Turner Joyner (on same page as Simon Aycock--see 1880 census) has 12 slaves
males ages 38, 12, 11, and 6. Females ages 31, 25, 10, 8, 5, 3, and two 1-year-olds.
1870 census, Johnston County NC, Beulah township, post office: Smithfield
Turner Joyner, age 49 (perhaps actually 47?), farmer, real estate value 1350, personal estate 1050, born NC
Winaford, age 54, born NC
Sarah J, age 16
Turner Ward, age 9, apprentice in farm trade, born NC
NC marriages 1855-1903 transcribed by LDS include Turned Joyner to Elizabeth Upchurch in Wilson County.
1880 census, Wilson County NC, Black Creek township, district 305
(Not sure this is same Turner, but apprentice Turner Ward suggests it is, which means Winnie died)
Turner Joyner, age 57, farmer, born NC
wife Elizabeth, age 55
Della Aycock, age 27, cook (white)
Turner Ward, 19, apprentice
Eulah Edgerton, age 5, granddaughter (implies Sarah married and Edgerton?)
