I was sent a detailed Warmath genealogy in 1998 by Connie Lane, descendent of the Chesterfield Warmath line. She sent it with the note, "The Rosamon info came from Barbara Morgan and the Warmath info from John Warmath (except my branch)." Anything in italics in the box below was not part of her original tree, but is supported by information beneath the box. Thanks also to Warmath descendents Carolyn Andrighetti (for her research) and Pat Bishop (for forwarding Carolyn's email).

1840 census, Davidson County TN

Thomas Warmath Sr. is listed as the head of a household with 1 male age 10-15, 1 male age 30-40 and one female age 20-30, one male and one male age 60-70. They have one female slave age 10-24 and one female salve age 55-100. The household is listed as having 7 members engaged in agriculture, and two whites over age 20 who cannot read or write. They are on the same census page as son-in-laws John Baker and Julius Shumate. The household listed just before Thomas is that of William Warmath, which includes one male age 30-40, one 20-30 and one under 5, as well as a female under 5 and one 30-40 (and a female slave under 10). The proximity strongly suggests this William is a son of Thomas. William Warmath's household is also listed as having two whites over 20 who cannot read or write and all members of the household engaged in agriculture.
