Hamburg Passenger Lists, volume covering 3-2-1891 to 4-30-1891 show on board the ship Plato (under Captain North) the Molzahn family, including Carl, age 45; Augusta, age 50; Bertha, age 25; Herman, age 15; Richard, age 11; and Albert, half a year. Carl's occupation: arbeiter (laborer). Residence: Belgard, Pommern (Pommern = Pomerania, a province of Prussia, Belgarde being pretty much in the center of it). The ship departed Hamburg for Liverpool and thence to "Amerika."
