1-2-2006 Rootsweb post regarding heritage of Noah Robertson by Sue Hall, "Risdom Robertson/Robason b. 1800 in NC, married Christian, last name unknown. Son Henry Robertson/Robason was born in Martin Co. 9-27-1827, died 1880 in Crockett Co. TN. Risdom Robason and family were in Martin Co. NC until late in 1839/early 1840. I have copy of deeds where, in Oct. 1839, Risdom Robertson sold land in Martin Co., one tract (200+ acres) to Ned Hyman and another to Luke Mizell. Risdom Robertson was in Haywood County, TN by census time in 1840. In 1879 Risdom's grandson, William Noah Robertson, married in W. TN (then Dyer Co.) a Robertson/Robason descendent, Louisa Hardison...her mother was Clara Robason Hardison..."
Louisa Risabell born 5-9-1854 in TN and died in 1936, according to Hardison Family Bible as transcribed by Mary Lou. 1860 census LA age 6 (wrong middle initial, right age). 1870 census 16 year old Louisa is not in the house.
1-16-1879 Louisa Hardison married WN Robertson according to Dyer County marriage records and Hardison Bible.
1880 census, Crockett County, Chestnut Bluff: Noah Robertson, farmer, age 26, born in TN of parents born in NC. Louisa, age 25. Asa, age 6 months. Also in the house, Mary "Hardesson," 34, boarder, teaching school. Louisa's sister, Mary Hardison (who never married) is listed in her father Asa's household in this census, as age 35, teaching school. Sounds like a match, listed in two households for some reason.
1891 Dyer County census showed WN Robertson household as the next household to Asa Hardison.
1900 census, Crockett County:
William N. Robertson, born Jan 1853 in TN of parents born in NC, farmer.
Wife Louisa born May 1855.
Son Carl born Oct 1880, farm labor.
Daughter Mary P, born May 1882. Son George W, born Sept 1883.
Son John A born Aug 1885.
(Just down the page is the Jetton family. Louisa's daughter Mary Pearl marries Neil Jetton. Mount Moriah has tombstones for Nannie C Jetton 1857, C.A.W. Jetton 1858 and Earnest Jetton 1885. Maury City Cemetery has tombstones for more Jettons, see below)
12-27-1905 Crockett County marriages: George Washington Robertson to Nannie Neal. The extensive family tree of James McDonald Neal is posted on the Tennessee Gen Web Crockett County page. According to the Neal tree, Nannie Neal 2-3-1884 to 12-1-1967 was the daughter of James McDonald Neal and Lucy Tennessee Smith.
9-17-1909 Crockett County marriages: Alpha Lou Hardison to Ernest Jetton / 7-13-1923 Crockett County Sentinel: Ernest Jetton and wife are entertaining a new little boy at their home.
Dyersburg State Gazette, 6-9-1916: "Mount Pisgah--Little Miss Mary Lou Hardison spent the weekend the guest of Mr. & Mrs. Noah Robertson at Maury City." (Mrs. Noah Robertson = Louisa Risabell Hardison Robertson. Mary Lou = daughter of Louisa's brother, GW)
11-10-1949 Thursday Crockett County Sentinel, Bells TN, Deaths: David Elmo Hardison, long time Memphis resident, was found asphyxiated in the bedroom of his home in that city Friday morning by his wife, Police inspector Wiebenga, head of the Homicide Bureau, said Saturday. He was 59. Death will be listed as suicide, he had been in ill health for sometime. He was born in Dyer County and lived in the Bonnicord community for many years. The family is widely connected in Crockett County and the deceased well known there.... (later in same edition) C.A. Robertson and Pearl Jetton attended the funeral for Elmo Hardison in Ripley Monday (note: believe David Elmo Hardison was son of Louisa's brother, James Henry, and therefore a cousin of Carl and Mary Pearl).
Maury City Cemetery has the following tombstones:
George W Robertson, son of "Noah & Lou" 9-18-1883 to 8-20-1953

family tree posted on One World Tree lists William Noah Robertson as son of Henry Robertson and Mary E. Jones. Mount Moriah has a tombstone for Mary E. Robertson 6-23-1830 to 3-29-1882. Mount Moriah also has a tombstone for Henry A. Robertson, 9-26-1827 to 2-18-1880, with the notation added s/o WN & LA. Not sure of accuracy.
