Dear Grandson,

    I am real sorry I'm late in wishing you a happy birthday but I hope you had a very happy one. Seems like getting over the holidays made me forget everything. Hope all are well and your winter won't be too bad. I know, grandson, you love the snow as I did when I was a little kiddie--but I hope God doesn't send you too much.

    Thanks so much for the school work you sent us, you certainly are doing fine, keep it up--as I'm sure you must be at the head of your class and I bet mommy + daddy are real proud of you.
