Dear Ones:

    Have a very happy birthday honey and how I wish I could be there to help you celebrate it. Carrie is arriving on the Santa Fe El Capitan tomorrow at 8 A.M. and so I still have so much to do before she gets here that I will write a letter later. We are all fine here and hope you are all the same. Hope your bad weather is over and that you will have real spring weather from now on in. Can hardly wait to get your letter saying we will all be there son. Will try and write while Carrie is here don't know how long she will stay. So with lots of love + kisses from all to all + hoping to hear from you soon I am as ever

I'm not so smart... the last thing I did was check to make sure you hadn't left anything which I would have to send (illegible). But who ever looks at old dusty golf trophies (more than 3 times a day, that is). Anyway, I finally caught up with you.
