My Little Passion Flower:

        Howdy! How was the vacation and stuff? I hope you enjoyed yourself, and got sunburned enough to last you for a while. When did you say you were taking the second half of your vacation? Until then, anyway.

        I sold the Model T today--made a profit on it too! J.C. and I went to the lakes again this week-end but we won't have occasion to go again, so we put an ad in the local paper and were plagued by prospective buyers all afternoon. We should have asked for more money.

        I have some business to take care of this week-end, so I will be home again--are you free Saturday evening???

        If all goes well, my job will be ended in a few weeks; about two or three more. Once more I will be able to live among people who do not go to bed at 9:30 every night (at 10:30 on Saturday) and who have leave their side-walks out at night. I am very happy. Also, sweet one, I will be able to see you more than once a month, if you do not object. This I look forward to too. I am very happy!

        Just had half a pint of strawberries, bananas and a pint of ice cream for desert--and I feel somewhat like the girl who swallowed the watermelon seed. So I must crawl into the sack now, as I am too lazy to do anything else.
